Firhouse Evening Forage Walk 8th May - 7pm

€55.00

Join me for a gorgeous evening foraging walk through Firhouse and along the Dodder and a sunset supper.

Together, we will take a step back in time, sharing a fun glimpse at what life was like in Firhouse throughout the ages as we walk, forage and have the craic.

Learn some fun facts about the history of Firhouse and surrounding areas, featuring some great but almost forgotten stories and folklore.

We will discover and deep dive the wild herbs that grow in abundance along the Firhouse Lane and the Dodder, giving you some tips on plant identification, understanding their uses, their lore and why they are so important to us. Touch, taste (if you wish) and learn how to forage in a way that both utilizes and protects nature.

Plus, take your interest in foraging to the next level and enjoy a taste of nature, with a delicious, specially curated supper featuring locally foraged wild herbs and plants. Think Nettle Soup, Wild Foraged Leaf & Flower Salad, Cleaver Crackers with Crab Apple Jelly - all complimented with locally sourced ingredients from artisan food producers right here on our Dublin Hills doorstep.

I am so delighted to be working with the very talented Laura Teegan of Teegan’s Treats to bring this very special supper to our gorgeous walk.
